I've been working on setting up servers the past week, and will be continuing for the rest of may. Included in that are BizTalk and SQL servers. Part of our setup procedure is to document everything so that we have consistency between servers. It's boring and tedious but necessary.

While looking up some info on DB Mail in SQL 2005, I came across a good post by Brent Ozar on some post install steps.  It covered a few things I hadn't thought about, but have since added to our build documentation.

Brent's post also had links to the SQL 2005 Dashboard Performance Reports. One of the links was to an excellent write up of the installation and use of the reports by Brad McGehee.
